Description
The Askern District Running Club was formed in 1982 and is mainly a road running club but also competes in cross country and fell racing events. The club caters for runners of all abilities from beginners to top class marathon runners. We do not have access to track facilities so most running is done on public roads.
The club is responsible for organising 3 races each year: the Norton 9, Askern 10k and Askern 10 mile. These are very popular events attracting hundreds of runners. The club takes part in the South Yorkshire Road and Cross Country Leagues each year.
